Spring seems to be in the air. The snow patches are shrinking and the leaves need raking. Discovering life in this area of the world is transforming. I've started a program of exercise with a trainer at the Shamrock Centre. We meet twice a week and are trying all sorts of exercise routines. It is a process of pain and gain, eh. I believe that is how we are to live our Christian life. We try this practice and we try that practice. We discover what works for us and then we proceed. We are the better for it and life gains more meaning. People sometimes think that attending church is a waste of time. Yet we all need companionship and need a network of support. The love of God reaches out to the world around us through God's partners, that's US. Seeking to be the best we can be is the quest of the creation of the Creator. God is NOT a God of "Don'ts" but a God of "Dos". A community of faith is meant to be always invitational and therefore welcoming to everyone. The invitation begins with each of us inviting those around us to enter our joint fellowship. Jesus Christ wants our world to be a better place and that begins with each one of us welcoming the others in our midst with open arms.
